ticking noise
Ive had this ticking noise since I finished the eingine, now I know that the valves are lashed but not sure correctly now has for an exhaust leak my headers are bolts are tight maybe my flange bolts ar not tight it does not have a gasket umh any thoughts

It could be a couple of things. A valve not adjusted enough. You may want to re-check them. Take a long screwdriver and put the handle to your ear and the tip on the valve cover. Move it around and see if your tick gets louder. If you find one, it may be a valve that needs readjusting.
As you say, it may be an exahust leak. I had a header leak that drove me crazy once. I replaced the gasket and problem was solved. Hope that helps.

The best way to find engine noises is with the poor mans stethescope.. it is a 3 ft length of rubber hose 3/8 to 5/8 works fine ... with the engine running hold one end to your ear and drag the other end all over the area you think the noise is till you pin point it .. to check rocker arm noises pull the cover and work the hose around all the valve train till you find it ....messy but very effective....

It's possible that the spring on the fuel pump is broke, that one can drive you nuts.
