I am still on the hunt for the correct Q-Jet for my new 72 C-20, 350, 4-spd truck.
I believe the carb I am needing is #7042210 but have been told that since my truck is a four speed the number should end in an odd number instead of that 0. All that said, I have a 7042210 off a 72 parts truck that I am using on a different 72 4 spd and it has all the correct ports and works beutiful.
The one on the truck now is wrong and I want to get it close or correct.
Please help!

Maybe so Chuck!
I think I found a nice 7041211 which would be a 71, 350, 4-spd and I am sure would work fine but let me know the numbers off that one and we'll go from there. My guess, 7042210, 7042212, 7042214 etc. b/c it is an 72 automatic.
You sell your seats?

Hello Tim,

I just wanted to let you know that the last digit in a quadrajet number DOES indicate an automatic transmission. I Just acquired a 1972 Chevrolet truck with a 350 4 barrel manual trans. The numbers off the carburetor I have are 7042211 which is CORRECT for yours. I also have a 4 core radiator from it which is an ORIGINAL HARRISON with NO cooling lines. Sorry, I meant that if the last digit is even in a quadrajet part number it is for an automatic transmission.
