Is there any difference between 60-66?

Are the Frames on short box step side half tons different through 1960-1966?

Are the suspensions all the same from 1960-1966 on the half ton short box trucks?

Thank you!

Re: Is there any difference between 60-66?

1960-62 frames are similar to a convertible passenger car with a large X in the center, and most of the rest of the frame is boxed. 1963-66 is an open C channel style frame.

1960-62 front suspension is torsion bar, while 63-66 has coil springs. Most rear suspensions use trailing arms and coil springs, although some GMC models use leaf springs in the rear.
