On my 77 I'm soon going to be doing a 3/5 drop and I'm going to do a flip. And trying to find more info for what I can on the front.

Re: thinking about lowering my 84 swb

I would just do a 3" drop spindle in the front and a flip kit in the back. Flip kit is fast and gets the job done nicely. I ordered Toxic drop shocks for mine but you can get shock mount extensions for the back and use stock shocks if you want to. Might be worth it to go ahead and get new ones if your not sure the last time they were changed. I would suggest staying away from Nitro drop shocks. I have read some horrid reviews of their ride but I have never personally had a set... Truck is gonna look nice man!

Where can I buy the Toxic Shocks from? And yeah I'm going to replace the shocks that way I can assure myself that I have a good set of shocks.

I would like to see a 3, 5 drop anyone got that on here?

77 sb: Google search toxic shocks you will find a vendor. Maybe ebay?

Appreciate the help, and well it depends I think on the shocks and everything you use, i've seen a 3/5 drop and the back isn't too much lower, I mean yes it lower but i've never seen a crazy difference where you can tell.

Re: Thinking about lowering my 77 (77ChevySharkBite)

77ChevySharkBite I moved your posts from the other thread so it would get a better response.

I suggest you go with 3" drop spindles, and a flip kit in the rear. You can get shorter (drop) shocks, but I prefer stock length shocks with shock extenders. This gives you a full length shock for more complete dampening effect and longer travel.

I've read that 3" drop spindles require grinding on your control arm on some 15" wheels.

Re: Thinking about lowering my 77 (77ChevySharkBite)

I just did a 3/4 drop using 3" spindles and hangers and shackles.... I think it turned out pretty good. Rides better than it did stock and I used my stock shocks.
