Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

I have that crossmember assembly laying around. Not going to use it. I saw this post a few months ago and couldn't remember where it was. Ironically it popped up again! You can have it for $5 plus shipping. I can post a pic of it tonight when I get home.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

P.S.

It's in great shape, has been sand blasted and painted, but has a few minor scrathes in the paint where it was bolted in at one time. Not using it because we are developing a bolt in coil-over set-up that goes in place of this crossmember. Our prototype is done, hoping to get first production run going this week or next.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

i ended up getting a complete cross member with those plates still riveted on.
i also repaired my frame where it had rusted thru the spring plates and frame. i also boxed my frame and made a cross member for extra fram support,

here's the before and after pics of my frame where those spring plates had rusted out

Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

looks like this process will be a lot easier if i take the whole bed off... or maybe just removed some of the slats?

Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

Ohh, I'm following you now.... Here's a few pics of prototype development. It's a side project we've been working on since late last winter. But now going into the winter months again(Yay, Michigan!), it may delay us a little as we would like to get some actually road/track time to fine tune everything. We developed the kit with a slip-over 'C' channel as you can see in the last pic that is located by the rear-end U-bolts and allows height adjustability. The upper crossmember is 1-1/4" Chrome-moly tubing. QA1 coilovers are also used, but we are narrowing down spring rates right now.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: rear upper coil spring frame mount

Haven't set a price yet, but I'm hoping to keep it around $1,00-$1,200 retail.... Selling it under our product line G-TR Precision Components.
