Taking Truck To Prom
Hey guys, I havent been here in a while for a couple reasons...busy...not doing anything to the truck....the list goes on.
Anyway, I had some good news and couldnt resist coming to post it. My girlfriend is a Senior in high school and she told me last night that she wants to go to her prom in my truck because its so much cooler than anything anyone else can possibly take. I am pretty pumped about it, plus, since I am away at school and have the insurance on "withdrawl from use" and have to put it back on for the prom, I get to drive my truck for real for the first time in about 9 months. Oh, and I have to fix my sig, the website in there is wrong, go here for my site now: http://people.clemson.edu/~nanthon/truck/ ------------------ Tony 1970 C10 LWB -Worked 350 -Dropped 3/6 -Tangier Orange Paint Visit my Web Site: www.low70.com College student at Clemson (SC) Home in Langhorne Pa Instant message me on AIM at MilkMe131 GOD BLESS AMERICA

Very nice! Took my date to the senior prom in a 1956 Ford Victoria hard top, rear lowered, front raised, roll and pleated seats, lake pipes. I can't remember who my date was, but I sure remember that car. Wish I still had it.

My wife wasn't fond of even being seen in my truck, let alone going to prom in it. Someday maybe she'll be proud of all my effort.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have thought my girlfriend was a keeper for the past 2 years, we get along great and she only yells at me for spending money on my Eclipse because she says I should spend that money on my truck!!!!
The truck has only run a best of 14.1 at 94...I know, its pretty pathetic for what it is but better times will come next chance I get to run it in decent weather. It may be another year before I can run it but it will run 13's.

Dang. All the girls who like my truck (or trucks like it) are already taken around here...heh, there's even a couple who both drive them...lol...
Other thing is, my dates pretty much expect my dad's Benz. It is a nice car to drive, but to be honest, just driving around, I'd rather have my truck...60mph and up, though, and I'll take the Benz. 60 and up...way up. ------------------ Project 1970 - soon to be seen at http://milhouse.treylis.org:81/

LMAO...Big Orange, I was just getting ready to say, one of my 5 kids was "conceived" in the back of my truck, out at the lake. Kinda the bad thing about having a flat bed on it now, she wont do that no more!!
