Jeremy,
I used to see 1904's go new for about 200 and change on e-bay evrey once in a while. They are not on all the time but it seems about once every couple weeks or so. Don't worry I am not looking for one right now. LOL

there's gotta be someplace out there that sells rebuilt QJets for a reasonable price.

You might try these guys
http://carbsunlimited.com/ I bought a rebuilt quadrajet for my 78 for around $250.00 shipped. I bolted it on and it ran great. Doug |

It's a little bit of work, but for my truck I bought a used Q-Jet on EBay for about ~$20, a rebuild kit at http://www.quadrajet.com (Carbs Unlimited) ~$25 and a book on the Quadrajet.
This was the first time ever for me to try something like this and it came out fine, the truck has been running great since. If you do go this route, make sure you check the number of the carb you need so that you can find a good solid core that will fit your application. /Gunnar -77 C-30 CrewCab -54 3100 |

i'm leaning towards a used Edelbrock carb now. since i can spend the same ammount of money on it, and have a carb that is 10X easier to tune.
