Re: bought my 1st shortbed yesterday!
Finally had time to check out the truck a little more. The door weather stripping was a mess so I decide to change it out before the rain comes. I found a little rust on the driver side but nothing major. The passenger side was in great shape. Also throw in a center belt so I can take my daughters for a ride.
Do you guys recommend spraying the rusted area with something? I ended up just covering it up for the moment. |

Re: bought my 1st shortbed yesterday!
Great find, CONGRATS! I would wire brush it and put some POR-15 on it.

Re: bought my 1st shortbed yesterday!
Congrats, fantastic find & to me a sweet deal! Running truck to boot. Drive it and have fun with your new toy. the rust looks minimal to me in the sill area. Maybe try some rust conversion solution in that section&rattle can over it for now and keep an eye on it . great buy! cheers, Pat
