My 87 jimmy, it's my first vehicle
Don't have much info on it except that it has a newish crate motor(350) ..under 50k miles? and that it has over 180k on the vehicle its self

Just got new rims and tires on it
Hoping to get it painted and the few rust spots/dings taken care of ...can't decide on color yet? any suggestions..something that goes well with red interior.
..then a 4' susp lift..maybe even a 6'

Seriously though, once you go to a 4" or 6" lift, it starts to complicate things and bottom line, cost a lot more money to roll properly. Axle strength, pinion angles, driveline angles, U-joint angles, vibration, steering squirly, etc.

Do your research before jumping all in.

With that said, I love the truck and I've always been partial to white as well! I bet you could adjust that front bumper too. Maybe it's just a little loose.....

True maybe something under a 4" i just want it a bit higher and go with some with 33's or 35's

33's to 35's are a good range. I have 35's on a 2.5" lift. As long as you are not wheeling it hard and be gentle, the tires don't really rub during normal driving. If you wanted it to be safer, you could do 33's no problem.

Where I'm getting at is even at 2.5" lift, I had some driveline vibration. Not the most idea solution, but I dropped my T-case 1" and that took care of it. But some say that's not the best solution. The best is a whole new drive line and possibly a CV type joint. AKA....bigger dollars.

Hey welcome to the best board around from MT! Sweet looking Blazer nice find looks super clean from here The front looks a little bit lower for sure. New lift should fix that. Nothing looks better then a lifted K5 with some meaty tires under it

Thanks, it is for the most part, just minor rust issues and a ding on the other side near the tail-light

Both of those are good looking trucks. A 2.5 to 3" lift over 33x12.50's is just about perfection on a K5. Although 35's sure do look good.
