Re: static dropped trucks with 20's

I have a 5" drop front and 7 and have no issues with the front, I do not have my bed on yet. I also had 5-6" drop on my previous build ('94) and had no issues (this was only 15's though). Guess it depends no how wide the front tires/rims are.
Latest is 8.5 and previous was 3.5

Front is 2" spindle and 3" spring. Rear is 2" block and 5" spring.
20's all the way around.

Re: static dropped trucks with 20's

By the way, I have almost 200 miles on my current build with no issues on the suspension. A little jumpy though without the bed.

Taz any way you could get me the tires sizes you have on the front and back? I'm looking to get the same wheels.

Re: static dropped trucks with 20's

You really need to be talking about tire size. With a 20" wheel you can have anywhere from a 27" to over 31" tall tire. Wheel width and offset is more important than diameter too.

Re: static dropped trucks with 20's

taz- your truck looks awesome with that stain and gloss paint job!! do you have any more of a side shot! so i can see the front wheel well opening to the 20's thanks for post your pictures you purple truck looks bad a$$ too!!

chillware- i dont think 20's will be a problem, i'm looking for pictures to see if i can do the same thing as shrunken66stroker did to his front fenders, adding 2in. to the front part and still put 20's on it! if the fender mod will not work with 20's then i'm not going to do the mod and just put 20's on!! i hope that cleared some up to what im talking about!!

Re: static dropped trucks with 20's

slow build- well really i'm wanting pictures of trucks with 20's! i'm trying to get an idea if i would have room to close the gap and still be able to put 20's on! lets say a 20in 50 series tire will barely fit with the 2" gap closed, then i know i can put a small profile tire on and has no issues at all and i will be able to do the mod!! i'm trying to save myself from cutting up my fender, doing the mod and it not fit!! does this make sense!!

No problem, I had another member ask about the tire sizes and of course I am replying from home on both and don't remember for sure, but I believe they are 295/40/20 rear, 245/40/20 front. Wheels are 10 rear, 8.5 front, 6.5 rear, 5.5 front. The spacing is stock, so I am not positive on this. I remember the rear have a big bs. I'll be bolting the bed on for the first time in a year by the end of the week (if all goes good). Just put the sides, sill and front panel together today. But it will not have the wood and rear bumper which will probably add another 100lbs or so. But anyway, you can check my updates and this may give you an idea of how the stance will look with a 5-7 drop.
