61 bench seat interchange

Just purchased a 61. The truck has modern bucket seats out of a foriegn car. Can someone explain what years will bolt into the 61. Hoping to go to the local junkyard and get a seat frame and have it re-covered.

For clearification, Im looking for a factory bench, as to what years will work. I know a lot of chasis parts are interchangeable up until the mid eighties. I ld like to put the tank back in the right location and install the bench as we have to kids.

Also, my original 1960 GMC bench is currently residing in my son’s 1968 F250. It was nearly a perfect fit, so I would assume a seat from any 1967-72 full size Ford pickup might fit just as well in a 60-66 Chevy.

other than interior patterns they used the same basic bench seat in all 60-66 chev and gmc cabs, including the big trucks, c/10-c/80, they will all fit.

A bench seat from any 1960-72 Chevy/GMC pickup or work truck, such as a C-60 is a direct swap. Bolt it in and go. Anything else will need modifications.
