WTB 61 hood latching pin
I have a 60-61 GMC hood and I need the longer latching pin so it will lock down on my 64 chevy.
Looks like this part but this one is from a car and it should be longer than this one.

I don't know. It doesnt say it fits a 61 Chevy so i'm thinking it's not going to fit but I did email the seller.

You sure they're different? My '61 Suburban is actually a '62, but I've added the 4-headlight grill and the "ugly" hood and call it a '61 just because it's easier than explaining it all the time.
But I just swapped the hood, and didn't have to change the latch mechanism. -Brad

My 64 "pin" wont reach into the 61 GMC latch hole, so I am as sure as I can be that what I have doesn't work.
That's not to say that maybe there is an adjustment of some kind but it looks maybe 1/2" or so shy of locking.
