It is a mechanical cable drive. The end of the cable is squared and so is the transmission outlet. But it seems as if the squared trans outlet is a little bigger than the squared speedo cable inlet?
I don't want to mess up the cable or anything, so I thought I'd ask. Not sure if GM made different sized mechanical cables or not.
