Truck Cover
Well, it's that time of year again. I have lost my garage space and it's raining. The truck's in primer.
I need a good cover that will be waterproof. It gets windy around here, so I'd like one that's fitted pretty closely. The one I have was for dust and anti-cat use only. My woman is going to buy me one for my birthday. Any help out there?...I'd like to get it ordered. Before she gets "out of the mood". Thanks.

Re: Truck Cover
california car cover make a excellent product but I dont think they are water proof just breathable(perhaps they have one that is wp) you might wanna look into one of them portable car port deals.I know they dont last forever but with a lil' redneck engineering you can set'm up too last a good while.
I know a fell'a that uses tractor trailer tarps too cover his projects outside but they dont breathe either and can cause more damage than good trapping moisture inside

Re: Truck Cover
Car covers are the worst thing you can do to a vehicle. You’re in cali, a little rain isn’t going to hurt. But that rain getting your cover wet and then drying on your primer will.
Plus wind beating that car cover over and over and over on your truck.. granted if it was painted that would scratch the poo out of it. I’ve been an auto detailer for many years, and from a guy who fixes stuff like that, don’t use a car cover. |

Re: Truck Cover
2 things. #1 dont cover it, that holds in moisture. #2 primer by nature is porous, its made that way to help the color coat to adhere. Primer is not meant to protect from the elements. A combination of the two will not be good at all.
