Wheel question.
I'm installing drop spindles and want to order after market wheels. So being that I'm going to have disc brakes up front do I order the 6 lug wheels for 73-87 Chevy truck?

Re: Wheel question.
Most new aftermarket wheels should have the proper back spaceing to go over disk brakes. If you were going w/old steelies...73 and up for disk brakes.

Re: Wheel question.
Here is the wheel I was looking at on ebay and like it. It says it will fit my 63 but,,,,I'm adding disc brakes up front and don't know what the back spacing should be.

Re: Wheel question.
They look to me like they will work....unless you go with a large disk brake kit. Standard disk brake kit should be fine.

Re: Wheel question.
I'm going with my stock control arms but yet using an after market 2 1/2 inch drop spindle and adding disc brakes with a 1 1/4 thick rotor and Chevy cailpers that will fit the rotor. Probably 73-86.

Sounds like you ARE getting rotors for 6-lug wheels that fit on the spindles you are getting? (Kinda unusual is why I asked.) Why don't you call the wheel company and at least find out what the back-spacing msmt. is? After your discs/rotors are on, you should be able to "borrow" a wheel locally with similar msmt. to test before ordering. The 7-inch width they state is common on lots of 6-lug rallys like go on the 80'ish 4wd--not all these rally's are 7", as vans(mostly 5-lugs) had similar ones with 6.5", and some 4wd had 8". sam Last edited by luvbowties; 11-19-2012 at 06:38 PM. I called several time and no call back yet. I like the style and the price is good.

Re: Wheel question.
Just got a call from the company and he said that the ones I was looking at on ebay have a 4 inch offset. So that's a good thing unless it's too much.
