Re: sms fabrics + LMC anyone?
SMS is definitely going to have your original seat material, however, it will not be a kit like LMC. You will have to buy the fabric from them and then have an upholsterer make it for you

Re: sms fabrics + LMC anyone?
Those things are super easy to get off, and put back on, imo. Just a bunch of hog rings. What I've done in the past, is just take the seat cover off. Then take the whole thing down to your local auto upholstery shop and tell them to clone it out of whatever material you want. Order some online or just select some they have at their shop. Whichever is cheaper and suits your needs the best.
Then once they clone it for you using the new material, just take it home and hog ring it back to the seat. Its often times cheaper, and you get a lot more of a custom touch that way. You get all your concerns addressed and a one on one "consultation" by the upholsterer. Rather than just ordering some cover online from somewhere like LMC (or wherever) and getting whatever they send you. By that I mean the colors don't always come out like you want because everybody's monitor is different. You order a white, you never know you just might get something that has a slight grey hue to it once you get to see it in real life. You order a blue, your monitor didn't show you this, but its just a little darker than you wanted it to be. It can throw off the whole interior. All those online etailers are of course going to be like "Yeah sure it matches great no big deal, buy from us! buy from us! buy from us!!!!" And then they'll say "Well if you're not satisfied you can of course send it back" but then you're paying shipping both ways. Not worth it. I'd go the auto upholstery shop way. |
