bracing for new floor ?

Getting ready to bring out the cut off tools on a 78 Blazer to notch a crossmember and put in some new floor where needed, mostly the back end and the sunken floor behind the dr.and pass. seats.I never thought about bracing until I read a thread on paint section. Was wondering if anyone had some input on where to brace as a Blazer would have different bracing points than a truck

Are you using patch panels or did you find full sections? I need to replace the floor on my 78 from the firewall to the step up, both sides. No idea on the bracing question though

Re: bracing for new floor ?

I haven't read that thread about bracing but sounds like a good idea. Maybe two front/two rear on the same rib, per side? Three or four inch gussets like you would use on roll cage?
