Porterbuilt Trucks near Kansas City

Does anyone have a Porterbuilt front and rear dropmember setup close to Kansas City. I am installing mine and would like to change a few things to make it different. I would like to get some measurements to see iwhich one of my ideas would work best.

I cant think of anyone off hand.. I would like to come look at yours someday. I am in KC but that is way down the project line for me. Your truck looks like you have a nice start.

If that's about $3000 worth of Porterbuilt engineering, you may want to ask questions of ... Nate Porter!

I'm not changing anything Nate is doing and I have talked with Nate. I'm looking to modify my frame to allow room for other mechanical components to make mine unique. So its just a excercise in measure twice and cut once.

Re: Porterbuilt Trucks near Kansas City

Glad you talked to Nate. That was a scary question.

I had to stop working on a project Monday night for the very same reason of measure twice cut once. Except I had already measured 3 or 4 times and it still wasn't gelling. Had to quit, step back, get a night's sleep and go at the next morning and this was just hanging pegboard. If and when I go at the frame on my next build, I will be measuring several more times than 3 or 4.

From your pics it looks like you have everything leveled up and laid out like you want it. Can't wait to see how this progresses.

You know we like pics so keep 'em coming.

Ok. So there are no trucks close to me to look at. So show me your Porterbuilt Setups front and rear. Looking to see different ideas and locations of suspension components.

Thanks in advance.

What are you specifically looking to change?
I guess I'm not following your question.

Re: Porterbuilt Trucks near Kansas City

I'm looking to see how much room there is for a wheel and tire. Yet leave room for a shockwave setup and a watts link. Trying to see if what i have done has gained me anything for roll center and anti squat over what I had before. Also looking to improve my weight transfer to help with wheel hop. I'm trying to get the best of both worlds for straight line transfer as well as lateral control. Want to carve corners as well as beat mustangs at the strip.
