wheel spacers

okay guys i have a 1977 chevrolet 1/2 silverado lwb that i have 15x10 centerline wheels on they are deep dish wheels but they don't stick out past the fender wells like i would like I'm wondering which wheel spacers would be preferred and what combination would make them even out

i already know the pros and cons to these wheel spacers i am aware i just want my wheels to stick out noticeably

Why? their just going to trash your body with dirt and chip the pait. 4x4 by any chance?

i already need a new paint job its a 2wd street truck lowered i just want a wider stance my tires don't extend out of the body like i would wish

I run 2 inch aluminum spacers on my truck. And 1 1/4 inch spacers on my Camaro. Just measure how far you need the tire to move and order some off eBay.

I wouldn't recommend wheel spacers. I had one break when I was driving around, and my wheel fell off doing about 30 mph. That's enough to make me never use 'em again. Just my .02

I've had spacers on 3 of my vehicles for many years. No issues. I do pull my wheels off once in awhile (2-3 months or so) to check them out and clean them.

That pic above is the spacers for my Camaro. The truck spacers are the same only a lot bigger.

they work pretty good? how long have you had them and do you have a brand name?

No brand name. I bought all my spacers off eBay. I will only recommend that you get a spacer that is heavy duty aluminum and to clean the studs on your car thoroughly before installing them to remove any foreign objects or rust so the spacer doesn't get stuck on there. Also, make sure to double check the bolt pattern and THREAD pattern of the spacer you buy. I bought the wrong thread pattern once. (I got spacers for a metric pattern 2000 ish Chevy instead of my old chevy).

I have heard the horror stories of spacers failing. I know a lot of guys on this forum won't run them. But I don't tow anything with my truck and I keep it well maintained. Like i said, the ones have been on my truck going on 4 years. Use at your own risk. Good luck!

yea i wont be towing or anything like that either i just want to aquire that stance to satisfy my taste buds on the apperance and damn your truck looks pretty sick love that grille guard

I'm going to eventually get a 1" spacer. At what point do you need to get the ones with the studs?

I wouldn't use any spacers without studs. Too sketchy.

I think they only come smallest 1 1/8, at least when I was hunting for them that's the smallest anyone showed listings for. I just want to widen to fill the wheel wells more in the rear
