2wd Exhaust Clearance
Just thinking out loud here. Is there enough clearance for a single 5" exhaust on the 73-87 2wd trucks? Thanks fellas.

Re: 2wd Exhaust Clearance
Why single? Two 2.5 pipes yield the same with better scavenge less pressure and better sound and can be quieter and yeild better ground clearance. So really not a point

Re: 2wd Exhaust Clearance
This exhaust would be on a single turbo setup. Fwiw, two 2.5" pipes flow roughly half of a single 5". Just curious if there is room between the crossmembers and the body for the 5". Thanks for the replies

Re: 2wd Exhaust Clearance
It would be in the 75-85mm compressor range, lsx engine. There is a guy over on performancetrucks.net that seen a 20 lb/min increase in airflow when dumping his 5" downpipe at the 4" bottleneck in his exhaust. That's a pretty substantial increase in my opinion. That is what got me thinking about the 5" exhaust and if it would even fit under the 73-87.
