LS7 Crank

Anybody know if a LS7 4 inch stroke crank will work in a truck LQ9 block? I am building a stoker and the crank is all that I am lacking. Thanks!

I am no expert but I have been doing some research. I am planning on putting a ls7 together for a project of mine. I do belive the crank will drop in the block. But there will be some things you will have to overcome. One problem is you will have to have the crank rebalanced to the pistons. There is a big diffrence in the piston weight. This may cost more than you think to change that much weight diffrence.The next thing is the ls7 snout is longer. You will have to get a special spacer to get your balancer to work. The other thing is to check the rotating clearance. You will have to do this anyway. All in all If you already have the correct pistons and rods to work with the 4" stroke you may be better off getting a aftermarket crank. The other thing to consider is if you have to have it turned. Just add all the cost up to see where you stand. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your build.

Would you happen to know where to find that crank snout spacer and the estimated cost?

I do know Scoggins Dickey parts has one. I have not looked on ther site to see how much they were.
