Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Man that Scott IFS looks sweet. Seemed to install flawlessly too. Nice set up. What notch did you go with in the back? Was that No Limit's stuff?

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Thanks man. The notch is actually a Porterbuilt and I have Scott's rear 4bar airbag setup going in. The NoLimit is the gas tank and rear xmember.

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Gotcha. I was looking into the Scott's system whenever I get to that point. Gotta find the right truck at the right time though. Keep the updates coming. It's looking good.

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
check out eagle 225's. Finish isn't up to raceline quality but still a really nice wheel with a very similar look for much less $$$

Sweet build Bart. I'm liking the products you're using. I've got my '86 all apart doing the same thing right now. Look forward to seeing your progress man

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Ok need some help here fellow truck guys... I need to find pics of a frame of a truck that I saw on facebook in someone's show coverage, at a recent show mind you, of what looks like a fully painted and detailed C10 frame. He has the skinny 5 gallon tanks mounted on the slant of the frame under where the cab and bed would join. Truck is very detailed from what I can remember all stainless and no it is not Mike Barcia's frame lol. I want those tanks for my build. That is all I am waiting on now to finish air ride, besides running stainless hardline, but need the image to track down the tanks! I thought I saved it but I did not!

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Wow this truck is going to be bad for sure man. 1 question for you, what are you using to weld the cnotch in?? I just bought a lincoln mig 110v welder. Was wondering if i could use it to weld a cnotch.

Re: 1984 Chevrolet SWB - "Return"
Yep that was the truck. Got the tanks ordered and waiting for them to come in. Thanks!
I have a Hobart 110 and it welded everything just fine so far on the truck. Anything that I will need higher than that I have a 220 welder for. |
