th400 transmission swap
I have a 1985 chevy 305 and th400, and I have a 1987 fuel injected 305 and th400. Can I just swap transmissions between the 2 trucks? I know the 87 has a computer but I dont know if you would have to change anything out or not.

Kinda odd for a small block to have a turbo 400..and in an 87 with 305? Very strange..
Are you sure its a 400? |

My truck originally had a 4.3 with a turbo 400.

The 85 originally had a 4.3. The 87 was a park ranger truck so all they needed was a 3 speed. Yes I am sure its a 400. I have a lack of power and noise I can't track down so I was just going to swap transmissions.
