700r4 speedo cable

Im pulling my inline 6 and Granny 4 speed out of my truck this month and putting in a small block and a 700r4.
if anyone here has done this before can you tell me if your speedo cable had to be changed for a longer one..the 700r4 is longer I know. I need to order a new cable if its too short. I would like to have it before I do the change.
If you changed it how long did you get?

Thank you
