lowering my leaf 70...clearances
I lowered the front already with ece 2.5 spindles & cut 5/8 of a coil off each spring for a total of 4 in the front. For the rear I just installed the c-notches over the weekend...I have cpp 5 inch drop leaf packs & adjustable shackles, haven't installed either yet. My question is that it looks like the top plate that slides over the u-bolts is gonna hit the outside of the frame when i put the drop leaf pack in...I took as much off as I could & can't go any more cause I'll grind into one of the nuts if I grind any more off. It's the front inside section of the top plate that is the issue. Anyone lowering the leaf trucks have these clearance issues...I don't think it would be an issue if c-notches aren't used cause with them it's basically adding 1/4 inch to the outside of the frame.
Maybe it's no big deal...I usually overthink chit, lol! |

No pics should've! Well I refused the delivery of the 5 inch leaf pack & just ordered a flip kit instead 130 bucks vs. 370 & with the flip kit the plate will be under the axle so it won't be an issue any more!
