Recomendations for Corp 14 rear
Buying a 4x4 with Dana 60 front and Corp. 14 rear. Looking for recommendations to convert open rears to posi, locker etc. Truck wont be mud bogged but want true four wheel drive when needed.
thanks in advance for any information. David |

Re: Recomendations for Corp 14 rear
I have a yukon grizzley locker in my 14 bolt. When driven on the street, mine is extreamly agressive. Some are, and some aren't. If the truck is a manual trans, you will know it is back there, auto's are less noticable. This is the only option you have for a 14 bolt unless you want to dish out over a grand for an air locker. Which is awesome, best of both worlds. It takes some time for a locker to break in also. I would go detroit, and not the yukon. You will save 30 bucks going with Yukon, but I wish I would have just bought a detroit. Yukon is the exact same thing as a detroit ("detroit style" it is based off the detroit design)

Re: Recomendations for Corp 14 rear
There are a LOT of options for the Corporate 14 w/10.5" ring gear.
--Detroit Locker & Yukon Grizzly Lockers are pretty darned aggressive, they're locked until you turn and then they basically ratchet around corners. They are almost identical, except for brand/price. --Detroit Truetrac --PowerTrax Lock-Right Locker: Uses standard open side gears. This is a mechanically-operated unit which locks when power is applied, giving full power to both tires, and unlocks when you let off the gas. The Lock-Right unit installs into a standard open carrier, offering a lower cost alternative to full-carrier lockers. --ARB Air Locker --Eaton Positraction & Yukon Dura Grip positraction, two similar clutch-type posi units. --Everyone's favorite, the factory GM G80 unit, also called Eaton's MLocker. --I haven't verified it but Dodge used the 10.5" rear axle as well, and they use a torsion-style posi/locker traction device from the factory. Not sure if it is compatible with the GM axle. --Various spools & mini spools also. I might've missed some, that is what comes to mind at first.

Re: Recomendations for Corp 14 rear
hard to beat arb's in my opinion for a true locker, or the factory gov-loc works pretty good in my experience for just normal trail riding and stuff like that

If its a daily driver that will see off road the arb air locker is really nice to have .It will cost you more but you can lock it when you want not when it feels like locking on you.
