Bigger tires on a 2wd
I have a 2wd blazer that I lowered when I first bought it. Now I am switching back to original (or slightly lower than original) height. I am considering running 18-20" wheels and tires in the 31-32" range, but I haven't seen many (or any) 2wd trucks set up like this. Is this just that most prefer lowered trucks where tires like this wouldn't fit very well, or am I missing something?

Re: Bigger tires on a 2wd
I would think that 31 or 32 would be pushing your luck on a slightly lowered truck. I could be wrong, but I would think you would have some rubbing issues, probably while turning.

Re: Bigger tires on a 2wd
you should be fine with 31's with a 2-3" drop in the front and no issue in the rear. most 20" tires range from 29-31"

Re: Bigger tires on a 2wd
This is the current stance - I am going to be reaising the back 2-3" from where it is now. The tires in the picture are about 26.5" diameter. Based on measurements, with 31.5" on the front, I should still have about 2" to the fender

Re: Bigger tires on a 2wd
thats a good stance now. i would leave it there and just get the bigger tires. a 31 will give you about 2" of lift and will also make it look lower because they will fill up the wheel wells.
