install sububan glass?

So I'm replacing the slider glass gaskets with the pieces I recieved from steele rubber. Right away I'm having trouble sliding the stationary piece of glass into the rubber gasket. The dish soap and water just isn't doing it, I get it within a couple inches of sliding all the way in and it stops. Is there anouther lubricant that will work.

Can you post pics? I am a couple weeks away from rebuilding my sliders too. As soon as I find my manual, I'll scan the pages it talks about re-installing the windows for ya.

Try polywater the stuff that electricians use to lube wire. It's better than soapy water. Home cheapo has it
