Saw a local square this morning - Fontana, CA

Saw a guy in a slammed square driving down Sierra this morning. Red with a tan primered front clip, Suburban bumper, Blazer band, 17” Billet Specialties. Ended up side by side at the light. We gave each other “the nod”.

I dig running into local guys with similar interests. Wonder if he’s on the board.

Agree.

How do you know it was a Suburban bumper? (front or rear)?

Sorry…sport bumper.

Pardon the somewhat misleading nomenclature.

Me too. I always asked why my parents waved at other hot-rodders when we first started the car stuff about 10 years ago. Then I come up to a 70s blazer while in my truck and be did the "nod" as well.

That's crazy that squares are a rare sight there. They are a dime a dozen where I live. It's also not to uncommon to see a 67-72 running around

Same here in Oregon these old trucks are everywhere you would think they grow on trees around here.

Tons of them around here too, but not a ton that are well taken care of and rodded out one way or another... So I always give a thumbs up when I see a bro square body guy, not so much when it's just a dude in a beater picking up scrap metal or mowing lawns.

^^^ Hulk knows what I meant...he's in SoCal.

On a somewhat related note; I’m not typically one for awkward, forced socialization, but it might be kinda cool to do a SoCal meet one day.
