HIDs in a late model truck?
Has anyone put a set of HID headlights in a late model GM truck? 2007 to 2012 truck. I have a new set of DDM HIDs that I purchased for my 09 Pontiac G8 that I am considering installing in the 2011 GMC truck (same headlight bulb in each vehicle).

I have a set of 6000k's in my low beams, love them.
I plan on retro fitting projectors, to help focus the light.

Something like this would be best. Not a bad price either for a retrofit.

That's the kit I'm planning, I hate halo's and you can buy a new projector headlight without those damn things.

Re: HIDs in a late model truck?
So, what does one believe it will take to put a projector into a truck headlight lense? OR... should one buy the whole projector headlight complete, somewhere?
Dalaigh: How bad is the difusion with your lights installed as they are, now? With the light cover, the glare should not be too overbearing. While I have been working nights at the plant, I meet a guy every morning, with a Dodge truck, that has some bright headlights and foglights. They are really bright, in kind words. I have a plan to change my foglights out for set of Vision X Led OE replacements that are worth 3 times the light the factory offers.

Re: HIDs in a late model truck?
I don't find the lights to be too bad, but I think the projectors will focus the light a lot better. As it is, the lights are 10x better then stock, but the is some diffusion.
****ty pic but...
