My boy's first ride a 1968 SWB..Photo's
Hey fella's I've been lurking around here for some time and I wanted to share my sons new ride. A 1968 short bed that is currently getting a GM crate 350 swap. Lucky boy!! Going through the motions of cleaning up the engine bay and going through the old wiring. It had some issues and I am still sorting those out. The truck is no show queen but still looks pretty good. It will be a cool little daily driver.

Re: My boy's first ride a 1968 SWB..Photo's
Welcome to the both of you to the site, it is packed full of info with a lot of great helpful men and women here. I am a body shop owner in a small town in the eastern part of Arkansas about 65 miles from Memphis TN. I would like to say that is a very nice looking truck and from someone who has his dad still working with him, even though it may drive the both of you crazy it is something that you can always remember and really enjoy. My son and I did a LWB 68. Mango Tango is the dodge color. We had a blast. The trucks could be twins...

That's a very nice truck, and a great thing to be doing with your kid. One thing though...do you ever fear that this truck may be a bit TOO nice for a kid?

Mango Tango huh. I was wondering what color it was.
Yes I am worried it might be to much. I will soon find out. Truck has all new breaks with disc up front. He is a new driver so I will be his co pilot for awhile. If the little 350 is too much i will see if maybe I can keep the secondaries closed till he gets used to it. He will have to watch where he parks it and it will have A few different security features. Other then that I have some good insurance Posted via Mobile Device
