Hey everyone I was wondering of they made drop spindles for my 1974 GMC Sierra 3/4 2wd 8 lug. I seriously have tried looking everywhere and its all 1/2 tons or 1 tons. Im confused why i cannot find any. I have lowering lower control arms and springs. Can anyone please help?!

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
I looked everywhere and couldn't turn any up. Belltech, DJM, Western, no one...
All I could find were the DJM lowering control arms. Couple that with springs and you could get a full 6 inch front drop no problem. Your post sounds like you already have those parts. You want to go lower ?

I looked for a buddy of mine too and could not find any 3/4 ton spindles that kept the 8 lug rotors.

ECE sells the conversion spindles that you are talking about. POL's spindles are true C20 drop spindles. http://www.performanceonline.com/197...P-SPINDLE-SET/ Click the drop down box. C20 spindles are $171 higher than their C10 spindles. There are a few members on the board that are running these on their 8-lug trucks.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
This member has them on his '79 3/4 ton.

It costed me around $400 for the pair, about 2x as much as 1/2ton drop spindles. I would have just converted my truck to half ton, but i wanted a 3/4 ton because you dont see it as often lowered.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
Keith, that is AWESOME!!! The POL site isn't really clear and the way they have things listed, it sounds like they are conversion spindles, like the ECE ones.
My buddy is going to totally stoked to find this out. Thanks for the pics and info!!!!!

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
I've been searching the forums for info on lowering C20 trucks. X2Industries sells a 3" drop spindle for C20s for around $340. Has anyone used them? I read on this site to stay away from Chassis Tech which are much cheaper. Why? Poorly made or fitment or customer service? I know this thread is a little old, but I didn't want to start a new one for the same question.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
Search Chassis Tech, Aim, or AirBagIt.com.
Same company. Different name. All junk. All bad reviews. Buyer beware,...

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
Some of chassis tech spindles have broke in places that should have been the strongest part of the spindle.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
Is X2Industries another name for AIM or Chassis Tech? Their spindles are 1/2 inch more drop then the others available. That's where I'm leaning right now. I mean unless they're just rebranded Chassis Tech. Thank you for the replies.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
X2Industries is from a different state i would ask them what brand those spindles are before buying them.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
N8Built-Welcome to the Forum. I did a little looking at the X2Industries site. It "appears" they are selling some AIM/Chassis Tech parts along with many others. I would spend time researching them before I spent any money. I have never heard of them personally, so I cant offer any advice.
I can tell you that the Forum Vendors here are great to work with.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
I think you can run a Dually spindle. You will have to run at least a 20" wheel to clear. Chris Dyer from Chicken City Hotrods did that on his old body style 2000 2500 Crew Cab short bed.

Re: do they make drop spindles for my truck?
Thank you, excited to be here! Yeah, I sent them a couple emails and they just told me they were made off site and may be the same manufacturer and thus the same product. Looks like I'll order the set from Performance Online. Now I have to decide if I can afford drop coils too or if I'm trimming a coil off my factory springs. Thanks everyone for watching out.
