Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

There's a couple in there that make for a difficult decision. For me, the tie-breaker is that 60-66's GMC (#10) is an 18,000 mile original survivor.
I just gotta give some extra points for that.

Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

How am I supposed to choose between all those awesome 60-66's? I'd feel like I'm ripping off the ones I didn't vote for because their all extremely nice!

Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

Not trying to start anything, but do you guys only vote for 60-66's? I only ask because I thought we admire all Chevies and this contest is suppose to be fun, I mostly own 67-72' but I voted for the 65' this month because I thought it was drop dead gorgeous truck, I guess to me it looks like it kinda divides us truck people into different groups, again guys I don't mean to offend anyone and maybe I'm just reading to much into this.

Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

No I think you are right on Rene. I vote for what catches my eye and sometimes its not a 67-72, but don't tell anyone Sometimes people are only fixed on their era that they miss out on some really cool trucks

Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

I vote for any year, not just 60-66's. Spending most of my time in the 60-66 section and watching the build threads does make it easy to vote for a truck that you watch go together, vs a "strangers" truck from another section that you're not as familiar with. It's a tough decision for sure.

I agree with shawno72. Except in my case it is not always a 60-66. I pretty much like all old pickups that look similar to what they did when they were born.

Good point Rene. I too hope we all can be democratic and vote for most deserving truck regardless of the era. That said, this monthly voting thing is purely for fun and hopefully is not taken too seriously by anyone.
I personally vote for what inspires me, which could be anything. However, I must admit that the 60-66 era seems to "float my boat" a little more than the others so I tend to vote there.
To be exclusive from the get-go is to be narrow minded and probably a good indicator that one is being too serious.

It is very true, that's it's hard not to vote for a truck that you have watched from day 1 or a friends truck, and like you said " It's a tough decision for sure" I don't know how many times I have not voted because I can't pick one over the other.

Bruce, I've said it once and I'll say it again, you are in a class all by yourself!!! I know how you love the pristine untouched, unmolested classic's that look like they belong in museums.

Re: Time to Vote for TOTM

I've owned every post 1955 GM truck body style. I like them all. I might lean a little towards the 60-66 but I'll give credit where credits due.
