what options to look for
Today I spent most of the day going to wrecking yards around my area. I have been into the older trucks 67-72 and know what to look for on them. But today I started looking the newer trucks over 73-80? And got to wondering what are the sought after items on these trucks. Figured I'm spending the money on fuel so if I could start finding stuff to get off theses trucks to help pay the bills. All the better. Thanks for the info

Re: what options to look for
Nice! Don't know how that weird light thing works though. Does that go where the dome light would normally be?

Re: what options to look for
The flip down light mounts in the factory dome lamp location. It is hinged so you can flip it down and it then faces rearward and shines through the rear window to act as a cargo light. Dual purpose light.the one above is actually mine. It is a very bright interior light.

Re: what options to look for
I would think 73-74 grill mounting parts and hood pin would be worth getting.

Re: what options to look for
Bumper guards are also worth getting. I've been looking for a factory set forever! Another very rare option is a 1981 Cheyenne-trimmed truck. It was the only year in the 81-87 body style with the option of a Cheyenne trim package, and they were not very popular. Needless to say, fender and dash emblems are SUPER rare. I'm fortunate enough to have one of the dash emblems.
