Water Temp. Sending Unit
I need to change the temp. sending unit on my 350 to more match the gauge.
With that said the gauge is reading 20 t0 30* higher than the IR gun is saying at any location on the engine and radiator. Is there some sort formula for determining what sending unit to replace it with?

Re: Water Temp. Sending Unit
Nothing specific, I used my original 6 cylinder one (58-59 they changed to electric) on the 283 and now 350. I assume they work like a fuel sender, higher temp = more or less resistance which moves the gauge. Have you looked over at stovebolt. com or HAMB?
