WTB- 70 GMC black steering wheel
Anyone have a wheel with no cracks? Or do any of the vendors have a good reproduction? On a budget (as usual). Also looking for a new set of black bucket seat covers. Trying to restore a 70 gmc. Thanks.

I have a steering wheel from my 68 that was painted black by the previous owner, no cracks, but the shipping costs would probably make it too expensive. Have you tried using an epoxy crack filler?

I'd have to buy a gallon can!! It's pretty bad. I'll bet there is at least half a dozen big cracks. I may do it as a last resort.

I know it may not be a truck wheel, and it may have a bow tie on it, but it could get you by untill you find a good wheel. I'll let you have it at $30 + the ride. Let me know.

Thanks racedvl, but I'll have to pass. I'm trying to get this thing as close to original as possible. Thanks!

Not quite sure
I have a wheel, but not sure of condition. Give me a day or 2 and I'll look in my stash. I know I have the centercap with the boe-tie. I'll look.

I had a chance to see one of those reproduction steering wheels in person. I don't know if all the vendors are selling the same repro but the one I saw looked real bad, the graining detail looked way off, I would rather have a cracked one then a repro.

repro wheel
Any vendors have any input on this? If they don't look like the original, I'll agree with gee-em. I'll try to fix one that I have. I have one with two cracks. The one on the truck has about 10. Thanks.

I found it
Yes, do have one. This one came from a 72 chevy. Unfortunatly it is cracked at about 12 o'clock above the horn button. I also have the horn button, but that's not what your looking for. Other than the crack it's in great shape. Just want to get rid of. Make offer.
