My original lines were 3/16 all around, which is what I stuck with. I too decided on bending my own, but if you go this route you will want to make sure you have a decent flaring and bending tool. I really like my Eastwood benders, but should have spent more for the flaring tool. Flaring is really going to slow me down because of it.
