72 C20 Fuel Sending Unit Question
Okay folks help me out here. I have a 72 C20 with AT and a bad fuel sending unit. I ordered one from LMC for the 72 with AT and to my surprise it has two fuel line connections, one is a vent. My original only has one connection.
The person I bought the truck from said that the tank had been replaced. Where was the vent line connected to the these? Should I send this back and get one with the single line? |

Re: 72 C20 Fuel Sending Unit Question
You must have a vented gas cap. You might as well send it back and get a single line unit. If you dont have a charcoal canster you got no where to vent too.

Re: 72 C20 Fuel Sending Unit Question
So its supposed to go to a charcoal canister. Where would that have been located? It does have a vented gas cap, I just checked.

Re: 72 C20 Fuel Sending Unit Question
The charcoal canister is located under the battery on emission-equipped trucks, I believe.
Assuming your truck is a 3/4 ton by your username, only 1/2 ton trucks had charcoal canisters.
