Spid Rear End question
Can anyone tell me what rear end gears this truck may have. It is an original unmolested truck. I'm thinking 3:73's but hoping for 3:54's

Re: Spid Rear End question
I don't think 3.73 was an option. 3.54 was standard, and 4.10 was an option IIRC on 72 3/4 ton trucks. Since no ratio is listed, I would say you have 3.54s there. I am sure SSTim will chime in and confirm or deny this.

Re: Spid Rear End question
It should be an eaton axle with a 4:10 gear. The "no spin" was the "posi" for the eaton

Re: Spid Rear End question
Sorry, But from the SPID as presented it looks like 4.10 gears.
A 350(LS9) C20 coil truck would have a 5200 Eaton HO52 rear axle. The truck has HD coils, but not the leafs that would trigger a Dana60. The NoSpin is another confirmation its an Eaton axle. Nice options. Here are the 72 C20 and C30 powertrain charts if you want to have them on file.

Re: Spid Rear End question
Thanks for the info guys, its much appreciated. I kinda been wanting a C20 but really don't want 4:10 gears so I guess this truck as nice and original as it is is not for me. Its the one in the link.

Re: Spid Rear End question
Or putting a big block dana in this truck. It just needs to come out of a coil C20. Might have to work out driveshaft and park brake cable issues some.
