Re: spintech pro street mufflers

We are running them on our truck, they sound great. Not your normal flowmaster sound. But still has a great growl when you lay into it.

I just got a new go pro, I,ll make a new exhaust sound video and post it.

If you search my name I have another video posted up related to the sound of them.

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

I have always gone with the super pro streets cause I like loud lol. I love spintech though. Got more compliments on them than I ever got on borla/slp/flowmaster/etc. wish I had bought them for my c10 but I got a great deal on some flowmaster 10's

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

As long as they do not sound like flowmasters I will be happy. I,m going to have the tailpipes come out just in front of the rear tires

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

I had them on a '92 s10 with a 96 corvette lt1 in it back in 2000. I loved them. Not loud at idle, but sounded great when you got on it. Definitely not a flow master sound. I got tons of compliments on the sound. Meaty is how I would describe them.

They will sound awesome especially behind a healthy big block. I have the super pro streets on my BBC and it just sounds nasty. Here is a link to a thread I posted from the first start of my motor.

I hope they sound good on my 504. They really sound great on all your rides. Question..do you think they would sound better if the mufflers were before the trailing arm crossmember or after. I,m exiting in front of the rear tires. just wondering if the longer tailpipe would make a big difference

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

Mine exits in front of the rear tires and I think it sounds awesome. I think it will sound better than if you dumped it under the cab or something.

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

I had mine made to fit my needs at the time, they exit right before the rear tires.
I'm going to get some shorty headers & have the pipes redone. I'm thinking about moving the mufflers under the bed and then have the pipe go over the frame and out in front of the rear tires.

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

I have never heard a spintech in person. I guess I will have to wait till they get put on my ride. The guy across the street has flowmaster 40s and i am not impressed. It is loud, but to me it isn,t a good sounding loud. If that makes any sense..

Re: spintech pro street mufflers

Lemons custom headers here in Paso Robles did my entire exhaust, I went with Spintechs because Dan Lemons recommended them. He said guys that deal with his shop are going Spintechs 10 to one over Flowmasters. I personally like the sound of Flowmasters. Lemons does a lot of custom headers and exhaust on some really nice rides. Well anyway FWIW
