Re: 1966 C10 Fleetside Project
srouth,
A guy in Red Cross did it for me. If you want his name and number I will get it for you. He does it on the side but does a good job. |

Re: 1966 C10 Fleetside Project
That would be great if you could get me his info. I live just a few minutes from Red Cross. Can you give me a ballpark on how much it cost to strip the frame. I believe I want to have my frame powder coated after but not sure if I can justify the cost. thanks!

Re: 1966 C10 Fleetside Project
I am not for sure, but I can find out. The guy that help me paint it restores chevelles and he used the same paint that he uses on chevelle frames. We used a two part primer and paint with a hardner and reducer. It matches stock chevelle frame paint. Sorry wish I had more information, he charged me $125 for the materials, so it's not cheap paint.

Actually $125 in materials sounds pretty reasonable. Looks good!

Re: 1966 C10 Fleetside Project
I removed the old paint and rust and repainted the rest on the floor. I still need to work on replacing some of the drivers side metal. I plan to spray on Lizardskin and then lay down some carpet when time comes for it.
