Re: opinions needed..
Grabbed 2 cans of rustoleum semi gloss, a spray can of gunk engine degreaser, a red scotchbrite pad to scuff the fenderwells and firewall after cleaning those areas.
Anything that has original paint (intake, engine block I will leave) The stuff thats surface rusted a lot or pretty rough will get repainted cuz it just wont look good leaving it as is after the cleaning is done Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: opinions needed..
I was thinking paint the firewall a maroon as close to the exterior paint as possible? Something missing the gloss maybe? So it blends in better with the exterior maybe??
The visible fenderwells , were they usually black from the factory? I was guessing they were cuz on those they have some black paint on the areas not surface rusted. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: opinions needed..
I will look into renting a pressure washer with that feature. That plus warm water sounds like the ticket.
How long should i let the gunk engine degreaser spray setup before I pressure wash the engine bay and motor once its out??? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: opinions needed..
Yeah the inner fenders and radiator core support came black and the firewall was the "main" cab color.

Re: opinions needed..
Thanks for clarifying!
Definitely doing the firewall in something as close to the cab color as I can find.curious to see how the factory paint is on the block/intake/valve covers.if most is there I think ill leave it to match the exterior /interior . Posted via Mobile Device |
