Gasket or sealer may compress resulting in loose bolts.
RTV makes cleaning flanges easier; but RTV increases chance of needing to re-torque.
I assemble ASAP with a thin wet film of RTV is between gasket and flanges.
I prefer thread sealer that allows re-torque; but is more likely to back out if gasket compresses. Perhaps permatex hi-tack is a good compromise because it sets up slowly giving some time for re-torque but kinda locks bolt over time.
