What is it?
I was doing ball joints on my 1968 c30 and found a tag/ band on the passenger side front spindle. Dose anybody know if it was the factory or if somebody added it later for some reason? It had the letters GB393588 stamped on it.

My 72 has a band on the same spindle....not sure what it is though.

Mine had one too. Same location. It says JK 3944993. My truck is a 69 C20. The numerical part appears to be a typical GM part number. No idea what the alpha characters mean. I've been wondering why these were only on the right side and there were no others anywhere on the truck.
