PS help

My 66 MH has PS assist, the valve is pitted. My names may be wrong... The rod that comes out of the cylinder.

I need a new/rebuilt unit. Anyone know where I can buy one? LMC doesn't seem to have any.

Re: PS help

The truck shop in CA has them but they are a 200.00 I believe, I rebuilt the one in my truck as they sell a kit but it wasn't rusty.

Re: PS help

If it's the power ram you're looking for, Eckler's carries them. It's listed for an Impala, but I have one and it works perfectly...

Re: PS help

I have the same system on my 66. Both the ram and the control valve leak. I bought rebuild kits for both from Rock Auto. I have yet to install the rebuild kits. It looks like the control valve is a bear to rebuild. I think Rock auto sold rebuilt units for both, but kind of expensize.

Older thread that might help:

And another site:

I bought a remanufactured control valve from Duntov (no core charge)

Not sure what kit you bought but Duntov is a Corvette parts source. The control valve is the same, but can't vouch for the power ram and I'm pretty sure the hoses are different. Eckler's has the proper hose kit as well as the Truck Shop in Orange Co.
