'77 monochrome Blazer Chalet in Springfield MO Craigslist
Talked to the seller a short time ago, it's serial #0896 built in 12/76. Been sitting in one place more or less for 15 years. He admits it was probably repainted despite his ad noting it came from the factory in this color...

They sure did a thorough job if it was painted. That probably could be cleared up with a look at the SPID...as well as other areas of the body. If it's all factory I guess it has the factory AM/FM/Cassette/CB

I think he may be addressing questions/concerns about the "camper" portion, and that it came that way, rather than the color... ie..."...ayep, it came with that funky camper thing on the back of it just like that, right from the factory..." I don't believe most casual observers would know they were not available in red. K

I could probably go trade him for my '87! I would camp the heck out of that rig. I need my DD more though : ( but I'm keeping my eye on it! If you want me to go get some more pics or take a look at it let me know!

( **By the way, in late 2011 there was another Chalet for sale in the Netherlands that had been fully converted for use by a driver in a wheelchair. The last set of photos at the bottom of this thread are of that rig, which was bought by our Yahoo Chalet forum member who lives in France.)

He sent me a scan of the title for his most recent purchase. Turns out this one in The Netherlands is missing its serial number plate, but I now know it is #0423 built in 7/76 because the Blazer's VIN and other details match what I had in my mega-spreadsheet from the Craigslist ads and conversations I had with its sellers from back in 2008-9. This one was infamous for having the whole back end covered in stickers.

Haha, cool. I just wanted to tell you the Blazer was sold to a man in France.
The dutch seller was a little uninterested to give me some information about the vehicle and didn't want to make an effort at all. Turns out we sold it for him |

Re: '77 monochrome Blazer Chalet in Springfield MO Craigslist
Through the years, I've received all varieties of responses from sellers, ranging from one who was so grateful for my contact that he ended up keeping his Casa Grande and appreciating how rare it was, to another who was so unappreciative of how he couldn't sell his quickly to our forum members that he threatened to crush it when our forum owner suggested a little patience on finding a buyer.
Thanks again for the alert, and all is well that ended well since this one is going to an appreciative home.
