Wheel / tire sizes?
I'm going to run a 4.8 & 4L60E, call it 285 hp at the crank, and ?? what to do about the rear end gearing and or tire size.
What are you guys with similar power output running? Right now I've got pretty fresh 235/75/15 tires on it. Will probably go with 15x7 rims, unless 235/75 seems small - in which case, I'll rethink. |

Re: Wheel / tire sizes?
I'm doing a 5.3L, 4L60E, GearVendors, 4.11 9" Currie, 215/70Rx15 on 7" Front & 235/70Rx15 on 8" Rear Coker's This truck will be towing our 25' Airstream.
Your selection will go great with 3.50 gears. Here's 235/75Rx15" on 8" on stock height on my 56 GMC "Cameo"

Re: Wheel / tire sizes?
Agreed. 3.50 or 3.73 gears. I have a 5.3 and 235/75R15's and I'm setting up 3.50 gears in my 9".
