Started the truck after 16 months! (problems)
Today I started my 62 for the 2nd time since I bought it. I decided today to get it running and see what other problems I have. The first time I did it was when I brought it home and didn't get a chance to see what works or what doesn't. Well, I had a fuel leak, clutch cylinder doesn't work, lights inop, horn stays on. On the positive side: the wipers, heater, generator and engine works fine. I guess it isn't that bad. Tomorrow I am picking up the new slave cylinder so I guess I can go on a test drive this weekend. The only problem is I'm deploying in july and I don't have the time to put into it. I'm wondering if I should keep it or sell it. I know it real close to getting it finished but what to do?

How many times have you been to a car show and heard some old guy (like me) reminisce about some vehicle he once had and here him say,"Man I shoulda kept that thing" you need to ask yourself, are you gonna be that guy?

Long term garage storage. Expired gas likes to foul carb orifices; Stabil does not work long term. Brake fluid likes to ruin wheel and master cylinders. Mice find new home and love to chew and build nests. Not bad idea to research long term storage tips.
Long term outside storage. Bad idea. |

Re: Started the truck after 16 months! (problems)
Thanks for the response. I have been debating on keeping and selling it over the past weeks. I guess most of it is due to deploying and i'm so close to finishing. I haven't done anything yet because I was waiting for your responses first. Thanks!
