need help for interior rubber
I just got some interior rubber parts from Classic Heartbeat, but have questions on how to install. First off, I got the two rubber bumpers for the ashtray and two for the glovebox, but I cant tell which is which. Two are kind of flat and two are kind of pointy.
Next, I got rubber weatherstripping for the doors. Each one is a long strip, with one sharp 90 degree bend. Where does the 90 degree bend fit? What is a good glue to use? How should I prep the paint before I glue? The interior is temporarily painted with rattle can primer covered by rattle can shiny - but "temporary" could be another 5 years. I'm hoping the weatherstripping will keep the doors a little tighter and reduce some of the rattling, so don't want to wait years until I do a final paint on the cab before installing to rubber. I'd call Wes at Classic Heartbeat, but I think he's on vacation and just has someone helping him with shipments. Thanks for the help.

Re: need help for interior rubber
What leddzepp said and the 90 degree bend goes in the corner at the top of the door opening before it bends down along windshield. I used 3M yellow adhesive to glue mine in.

Re: need help for interior rubber
3-m yellow works fine...but you're not getting it back off without destroying the rubber and paint...maybe look into the push on stuff like GMC Paul and others sell...think it may be a later dodge part

Re: need help for interior rubber
Thanks for the info. With the window rubber corner at the A pillar, the ends will meet under the door sill, correct?
Any ideas on a less permanent glue then 3m yellow? I've already bought the rubber, so will be using what I've got. Thanks!
