Quick shock question
now that i put a heavy big block in my pickup (c10, 2wd, coils) i blew out my crappy McGaughy shocks in the front. i want to find some KYB Gas adjust shocks for it. im wondering if i can use these:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ky...del/c20-pickup
My truck is lowered with 2 inch springs. are they the same as these: http://earlyclassic.com/catalog.aspx?ProductId=159 (55.00 gas-a-justs?) im wondering what part number i need for my truck. the cheaper the better.

Re: Quick shock question
Bump. I need to order them tonight. Does anyone run gas-a-justs on the front with a 2 inch drop? I cant find anything about them on the front.

Re: Quick shock question
I read on another thread that the KYB front shocks they (ECE) sell as a drop shock is just a standard height shock for our trucks. the rears are for a Nissan mini van??
I bought the KYB fronts from rock auto for $70 shipped for the pair, half price compared to autozone. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Quick shock question
saw those too, they arent gas adjust, and i think shocks for a 4 inch drop will be too much for a 2 inch drop, either way my problem is solved, i ordered some belltecs, they are supposed to be nice.

In this thread. The GR 2. "Drop shock" is actually the standard height shock for our trucks KYB pn 344068. In the thread above a member bought a kit with the GR 2 drop shocks and peeled the ECE pn label off to find the KYB # and it is a standard height shock. Hard to explain (type) on my phone. Re: Quick shock question
I have KYBs on my stock height truck and they work well. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need to get anything other than stock height shocks for only a 2" spring drop.
